The consequences of investment fraud can be severe. There is, of course, financial loss along with the potential impact on an investor's lifestyle. Often understated is the impact on emotions in terms of self-worth or esteem.

Once a fraud has been uncovered and there is reason to suspect laws have been broken, fraud examiners have available to them a number of tools to determine the extent of loss as well as how it was perpetrated. However, the tool set for identifying potential frauds before they are widely known is different Yet, as investment and financial advisors for our clients, our goal is to keep investors out of harm’s way, so that they never experience loss in the first place.

This discussion is about identifying where investment fraud is most likely to occur and the process for avoiding catastrophic loss.

The learning portion of this event will qualify for 2 hours of CPE.
